Cold Chain Federation Celebrates Sustainability Champions at the 2025 Awards

The Cold Chain Federation is delighted to announce the 2025 Cold Chain Sustainability Awards winners. These awards recognise outstanding achievements in environmental responsibility and innovation within the temperature-controlled logistics industry.

Presented at the sold-out Cold Chain Climate Summit, the awards highlighted the remarkable efforts of businesses and individuals dedicated to creating a more sustainable cold chain. This year’s winners exemplify the industry’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, from groundbreaking technological advancements to impactful climate initiatives.

The 2025 awards emphasise the industry’s strong dedication to reducing energy consumption, minimising waste, and promoting innovative technologies that support environmental sustainability.

A special congratulations goes to F W Mansfield & Son, who has once again earned the title of Cold Storage Operator of the Year for an impressive third consecutive year.

Richard Doyle, Head of Safety and Sustainability, FW Mansfield & Son, said

We’re well into our journey and the biggest thing is maintaining the momentum that we’ve had. We won the award last year and we’ve won it again this year. We only get that through the drive from our CEO, all the stakeholders in the business, the managers and everyone pulling together.

Neil Stott, Business Development Director of MyPower said

“One of the biggest obstacles we’ve overcome is the volatility in the marketplace and getting the message out there and busting myths – there are lots of myths out there about where you can instal solar, what it’s good for and the impact it can have. We’ve done a whole piece around educating, partly through the CCF, busting those myths – and showing where it works really, really well and some of the other considerations that you need to have.

“We’re here today with one of our customers – AJK – it’s been a journey with them. They’ve got older buildings and an older estate and it’s not just been a quick fix for them. We’ve worked with them over time to get their solar solutions in place and they’ve done other things as well in terms of improving their environmental operations and energy efficiency. That’s a project that has delivered some fantastic results.

The Awards were held during the Cold Chain Climate Summit, which brought together cold chain logistics experts, sustainability-focused suppliers from both the UK and abroad, prominent Government representatives, and renowned academics. The event featured speakers, panel discussions, and participants who delved into the critical issues, challenges, and opportunities the cold chain faces in addressing and preparing for a net-zero future.
